Take to the water on our thirty-eight-foot sailboat, the Rhiannon, with our knowledgeable bilingual staff as your guides. While you are on this tour, our expert guides will share with you their knowledge about these incredible marine animals and their habitats. Every winter the whales travel thousands of miles to the warm waters of Banderas Bay (Bahia de Banderas) from the cold waters off the coast of Alaska. From December to March, over two thousand Humpback whales make their home in Banderas Bay to court, mate, birth, and nurse their young. If you are lucky, you may get to witness the rare sight of a massive female Humpback nursing her young calf. The sight of a whale rising up to forty feet out of the water or splashing their giant tail is truly unforgettable. In addition to observing these beautiful cetaceans, you may also spot dolphins, manta rays, and sea turtles, all of which make their home in Banderas Bay.
